"Hunnu Air" Airline Opens Flight to Paris

One of several airlines of Mongolia, the Hunnu Air company, will begin flights to Paris from 9th June 2014, expanding its destinations into Europe. The flight will be twice a week to the city with a refueling stop in Russia. The company already makes direct flights to Manzhouli and Shanghai, Hailar, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bankok and Ulaan Ude, as well as to several domestic destinations.The cost of the Ulaanbaatar-Paris flight has not yet been published.

The Ulaanbaatar- Paris and Paris- Ulaanbaatar flights will be Mondays and Fridays from the 9th June until the 31st August 2014.

Adventure Off Road Motorcycle Journey To The Birthplace Of Genghis Khan

Summer 2015 highlights: a group of six guys from Australia and New Zealand came for a motorbike tour in the far north east of Mongolia, also known for being the birthplace of Genghis Khan. The riders were professional film directors, musicians and photographers, so they have created this marvellous 15-minute account of their adventure including stunning drone footage showing all of Mongolia's hidden secrets. Dogs Became Man's Best Friend in Mongolia

It is well known that dogs descended from wolves; that packs of wolves would follow communities of hunter/gathers and take food scraps from their camps in preference to hunting prey. Gradually the bravest wolves got closer and closer to the humans and so got most of the food, gradually leading to an evolutionary advantage as each generation of wolves became tamer. It is believed that wolves befriended humans, becoming domesticated, about 15,000 years ago. New research at Cornell University in New York shows that dogs were first domesticated in Central Asia in the region of Mongolia. Thousands of DNA samples taken from dogs around the world were compared with each other in order to build up a picture of their evolutionary origins. The results point to Mongolia being the place where dogs first transitioned from wolves.
