Last week in New York at the 2015 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Mongolian fashion designer and entrepreneur Bayarmaa Bayankhuu made a tremendous debut with her collection of stunning designs. The outfits are strongly influenced by traditional Mongolian materials, colours and designs, using thick silk, cashmere and fur. Her designs are luxurious, easy to wear, sexy and unusual. Bayarmaa was born in Ulaanbaatar but has travelled extensively in Europe, Asia and the US. She studied Business and Finance and ran her father's company whilst also working as a designer and stylist. She is the creative director of Mongol, her decade-old fashion house, which specialises in women’s ready-to-wear, wedding dresses and outerwear.
