New Ulaanbaatar Commuter Railway

In an attempt to dramatically reduce the traffic and pollution through the capital, Ulaanbaatar, the Mongolian government have installed a railway train for public use; this will travel from Tolgoit, in the west of the city to the east, to Amgalan. Not only will this benefit the environment, but the time taken for citizens to travel by rail compared to by road can be reduced by over 90%. The ‘Myetrovagonmash’ train, ( Russian: Метровагонмаш ) transported from Mytishchi, Russia, claims a total of 136 seats and holds over 350 passengers; not only this, but it can reach to speeds of 100km/ hour and is due to be ‘open for service’ on the 6 th June, 2014. The estimated journey time along the whole rail is only 20 minutes, and plans to run 3 times per day, hoping will be expanded next year due to an extensional 3.7km track being built for mid 2015. Mongolian Airline Enlarges Their Fleet

After half a century of aviation history, the Mongolian government’s bold step into purchasing their 2nd Boeing airplane has led to its arrival in the Chingghis Khaan International Airport. During June, 2011, the Mongolian President- T.Elbegdorj- signed the aircraft purchase agreement, declaring 3 Boeing airplanes to be transported to Mongolia within the following few years.   The MIAT Company (Монголын Иргэний Агаарын Тээвэр, Mongolyn Irgenii Agaaryn Teever, Mongolian Civil Aviation Transport), already owns the first Boeing in its expected 3 fleet, and is claiming plans for a complete renewal of 70-80% of their aircraft by 2020. In addition to their current Boeing 767-300, the new 737-800 will fly to 6 destinations, including Berlin, Tokyo and Beijing. "Hunnu Air" Airline Opens Flight to Paris

One of several airlines of Mongolia, the Hunnu Air company, will begin flights to Paris from 9th June 2014, expanding its destinations into Europe. The flight will be twice a week to the city with a refueling stop in Russia. The company already makes direct flights to Manzhouli and Shanghai, Hailar, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Bankok and Ulaan Ude, as well as to several domestic destinations.The cost of the Ulaanbaatar-Paris flight has not yet been published.
